Hi Sofia, I am thankful that I encountered your writing through Scribe and Thomas. I cannot tell you in words, how moved I am, and how emotional it made me as I finished reading it. Tears are still rolling down my eyes as I am writing this. Probably this is the best piece I've read on Medium this year.

I could relate to it so much, because of my grandparents having to relocate during the Partition of Bengal, with whatever they could, leaving behind literally everything, and coming to an unknown place and setting up things anew.

You've inspired me to write about it! Maybe, I'll do so. Thank you again for this poignant and moving story. I will revisit this again and again, in future.

Have a great day ahead, and take care!
