Your Eyes, My Mind, And Lillies

The beginning of a love story

As the incessant raindrops lashed,
lashed onto the thirsty land,
that musky smell enveloped all my senses,
those thin rays of sunshine,
peeping through the cloud, those golden beams,
creating a mystical moment, for me to behold,
before hiding behind those cumulonimbuses,
my heart, miserable, my eyelids, drooping into a slumber,
just then, like a sudden thunderous shockwave,
jetting through my spines,
a few feet away from my footsteps,
I saw your kohl-lined eyes.

My mind, my entire mind, ’tis filled with feelings,
moments of the past, feeding on the remains,
of that vision, of your kohl-lined eyes,
let my mind transpose, transpose to those imaginative zones,
where I am the hanging flower at home’s entrance,
and you, the unrelenting breeze.

Gathering all my strength, when I followed you,
in the pitch-black darkness,
the moon hiding behind those…
